Privacy and Compliance
Eight Dragons is a global industry leader when it comes to data security and privacy compliance across all our markets. We work closely with the relevant industry bodies in each country to ensure that not only our privacy policy, but also our data collection campaigns adhere to legislation.
For example In Australia, companies that collect resident’s personal data for business purposes are required to be bound by the the Australian Privacy Principles (APP) as contained in the Privacy Act 1998 (Privacy Act), with regards to the storage, use and privacy of people’s personal information/data.
We have implemented these guidelines in both our Privacy policy an ongoing data management protocols.
Managing Consumer Consent and Opt-out Requests
We have a dedicated privacy team who manage any consumer opt-outs via email, phone and direct mail in real time and instantly removes then from our database.
We provide all clients with quarterly suppression file updates for the duration of their licensing agreement to avoid consumers receiving unwanted communications if opt-in permission is no longer current.
Master Suppression List
Eight Dragons maintains both global and country specific suppression lists to ensure that audiences are up to date in terms of opting in to receive communications. These lists are mailed to clients weekly or monthly (dependent on frequency of their campaigns).
✓ The Master suppression list holds all phone, email and automated unconsent requests.
✓ Automated unsubscribe links are on all email promotions, these are added to the master suppression list.
✓ Phone removal requests are logged and sent to our privacy team, they are then added to the master suppression list.
✓ Emailed removal requests are logged and sent to our privacy team, they are then added to the master suppression list.
✓ DM removal requests are logged and sent to our privacy team, they are then added to the master suppression list.
✓ At all times our data maintenance and privacy team works closely with the Australian Privacy Commission or specific body for other markets to ensure that we are ahead of the competition when it comes consumers privacy.
